It was b/w, but it has nice hand drawings and pretty simple recipes.&lt;br /&gt;I forgot some stuff. (OMG! I totally forgot the onion... x_____x)&lt;br /&gt;Boil mirin, add dashi, sugar, soy sauce, bring to boil. Oh well. I want a square-ish bentou box... (made it twice already)&lt;br /&gt;1. Heat oven 190C.&lt;br /&gt;2. Get a chicken (with bones), make sure it's thawed, washed, put on baking tray.&lt;br /&gt;3. Chop onions, and cube potatoes.&lt;br /&gt;4. Mix potatoes with olive oil, put on tray, as well as the onion.&lt;br /&gt;5. Slice a lemon and squish it on top of the chicken, put the squished lemon on the tray.&lt;br /&gt;6. Melt butter and cover the chicken with it.&lt;br /&gt;7. Pour some salt on top of the chicken (to make the skin crisp)&lt;br /&gt;8. Bake for 1 hour.&lt;br /&gt;Done!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And yes, I eat roast chicken with rice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Didn't eat nattou, figured that I'd be too full for it. Asparagus was $2.80...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;[22:52] Bought Burritos ingredient as suggested by inuki-chan. XD I don't know when I should have it, though...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;Nattou&lt;/span&gt; tasted horrible... T^T At first it was bland, but the more I take the more it taste horrible... I only mix half of the box, I know I wouldn't be able to finish all of it. I tried to add more mustard, but still... blah. And the one I bought was only the mild one...&lt;br /&gt;I did add spring onion, maybe I should add more soy sauce as well... At least I managed to &lt;span style="font-weight:bold;"&gt;finish half&lt;/span&gt; of the box, haha, forcedfully.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope the other half of the box won't make my fridge smelly (I cover it pretty tight, though). I couldn't finish it, yet I don't want to throw it away, and I still have 2 and a half box to go... *sigh* It's not that easy to accept the taste of nattou, eh? And actually, &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;glutamates&lt;/span&gt; in MSG is also found in cheese, egg, potatoes, soy sauce, other spices. Even our body produces glutamate.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm always annoyed when my cousin put so much MSG/vetsin into the dish. Actually, at home my mom uses it, too. It can't be separated from Chinese cooking. But then I was told that MSG is bad, and people think it's bad, instant noodle is bad, bla bla. So I never use the crystal Vetsin when I cook, though I still use spices that actually also contain MSG, without knowing it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;MSG is actually declared as safe from researches. So it's okay to add Vetsin? But I'd rather not use it, since other spices that I use already contain MSG, so why add more? Ah, I want a cheesecake!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;From the cooking show this afternoon on channel 7, &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Saturday Kitchen&lt;/span&gt;, I noted down some recipes, not the hard ones, of course... the grated apple and potato sounds easy and nice, and I now know how to pouch an egg, also to make crouton (I didn't know that they use a lot of olive oil in it!).&lt;br /&gt;Watching Jamie Oliver cooks is fun, haha, though the way he cooks is "&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;kosro&lt;/span&gt;", in Surabaya's word... But it's amusing nonetheless, looks tasty, too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Iron Chef&lt;/span&gt;, I thought the challenger might win this time, coming up with 6 versus 3 dishes, and he had more compliments, but he still lost! I can sign up very easily... uhh...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway.&lt;br /&gt;I've decided to keep a food journal.&lt;br /&gt;Now I'm becoming more interested in food, Japanese food, exactly. I'm not overweight, I have a normal weight, but I think if I can lose some more weight it'd be great. I have big bones, so it's a bit depressing to say about my weight, haha...&lt;br /&gt;I usually weigh at &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;58&lt;/span&gt;-&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;60&lt;/span&gt; kg, &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;163&lt;/span&gt;cm height.&lt;br /&gt;I want to go around &lt;span style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;53 &lt;/span&gt;kg if that's possible...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since I study abroad and since no one can cook for me, I've begun to cook by myself. Besides that it saves money, it also a good practice to cook by myself, and have healthier food. Recently I've been crazy with recipe books, and food photos, though I don't really try the recipes...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel like I'm eating less since I read the "Japanese Women Don't Get Old or Fat" and later "French Women Don't Get Fat". But my weight seem to be around the same, though it's not like I follow all of it, and they're not really diet books. I don't like diet.
